Anita Pascoe awarded BABICM Fellowship

Updated: Jun 24

We are pleased to announce that our Clinical Lead Case Manager Anita Pascoe has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship to BABICM.

The Fellowship Award can be given to a member, “in recognition of exceptional service or outstanding contribution to BABICM, following a process of nomination and review by a fellowship committee and council.”

The three winners of the award were announced at this year’s BABICM annual conference, which took place in Coventry on June 18 – 19.

Anita began working as a Case Manager with Westcountry Case Management (WCM) in 2004, alongside independent occupational therapy work. She took on the role of Clinical Support Manager at WCM in 2015 and is now the Clinical Lead and case manages a small number of clients; work which she absolutely loves.

Anita said, “I love contributing to BABICM. I have been on the training and education group, council, been membership secretary/director, and on the professional practice group - which I am still on.

It’s easy when brain injury and case management are my passion, and I’ve always seen it as my privilege to work with other like-minded people and be a small part of supporting the BABICM membership, by being a participant in the professional development and growth of case management.  I have gained back 10-fold what I’ve put in, and I hope to have many years of active contribution to BABICM ahead of me.

I didn’t expect this for one moment, so it was a huge but very lovely surprise when I received an email from BABICM ahead of the conference. I still can’t believe the WCM team party poppered and ‘whooped’ me quite as loudly as they did on the night though!”

Anita is an active contributor to BABICM as well as being an advanced registered practitioner member and was nominated for her consistent and outstanding contribution to BABICM.

Congratulations Anita!
